Stats:

If City fail to beat Chelsea, it will be the 1st time the Blues have gone 4 PL games without a win under Roberto Mancini.

City have only won 1 of their last 4 Premier League meetings with Chelsea but have won the last 3 in a row at home.

They have scored 25 goals in the final half hour of Premier League matches this season, more than any other team.

Carlos Tevez has failed to score in his last eight league appearances.

Edin Dzeko has scored six goals in his last seven Premier League games.

Chelsea are vying to earn successive league wins for the first time this year.

They have earned 25 points from 14 league matches under Rafa Benitez, one point more than Roberto Di Matteo managed from two fewer games in charge.

Frank Lampard will make his 550th league appearance. He has scored 199 goals for Chelsea, three behind Bobby Tambling’s club record tally. He has scored in four successive Premier League appearances for the first time since August 2010 and has 11 goals in only 13 league starts this season.

Juan Mata has been involved in 19 goals (10 goals, nine assists) in 20 league starts for Chelsea this season.

Press Conference:

Roberto Mancini again faced questions about his future at this week’s pre-match press conference. It’s becoming tiresome but see the video below for his latest rebuttal.

We’ve also gathered together pre-match quotes from Rafa Benitez, Demba Ba, Sergio Aguero and Mancini here.

Inside the Opposition:

This week, we spoke to two Chelsea fans, Ramon, who edits Mowing Meadows, and Sam, who’s a contributor to the Plains of Almeria site. Both are fascinating interviews. Part 1 with Ramon is here, and Part 2 with Sam is here.
