Team News:

QPR – Ryan Nelson looks set to return to the side in what is almost certainly going to be his last match before joining Toronto FC who want him as manager. Loic Remy was also rested for the FA Cup defeat to MK Dons but he will also return. Junior Hoilett (hamstring), Shaun Wright-Phillips (knock), Bobby Zamora (hip) are doubts, while Samba Diakite is on international duty. Andy Johnson is a long-term absentee and remains sidelined.

QPR (from): Cesar, Green, Murphy, Cerny, Onuoha, Hill, Ben-Haim, Nelsen, Ferdinand, Mbia, Park, Fabio, Granero, Traore, Derry, Taarabt, Faurlin, Hoilett, Wright-Phillips, Ephraim, Mackie, Campbell, Remy, Bothroyd, Zamora.

CITY – Captain Vincent Kompany is out with a calf injury picked up in the cup win away at Stoke, with Matija Nastasic a doubt with a knee problem. Mario Balotelli and Samir Nasri are back from illness, but Maicon and Micah Richards (both knee) are still out injured. The Toure brothers and Razak are still at the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast.

Manchester City (from): Hart, Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Lescott, Nastasic, Rekik, Clichy, Kolarov, Milner, Silva, Sinclair, Barry, Garcia, Nasri, Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli, Dzeko, Lopes.

Stats:

City only have a better PL win % against Sunderland (66%) and Aston Villa (55%) than against QPR (54%) (min. 10 games played).

If Joe Hart takes part tomorrow against QPR, he will be making his 150th Premier League appearance for City.

If Joe Hart starts tomorrow, he will be making his 100th consecutive Premier League start.

City have only lost 1 of their last 7 PL visits to Loftus Rd (inc. 2 games v Fulham), winning 3 and drawing 3.

City have now gone 7 hours and 30 minutes without conceding a goal (in all comps) and are yet to concede in 2013.

Adel Taarabt has either scored or assisted four of QPR’s last five league goals.

Against West Ham, Loic Remy scored with his first shot in English football. He became the first player to open their Premier League account whilst playing for QPR since Danny Dichio in 1994.

They have failed to win any of the 16 league games in which they fell behind this season (D4, L12).

Defeat would be QPR’s 100th loss in the Premier League.
